With Cusick's passing, hearing him in all the great Bruins moments, I just realized how much I can't stand Jack Edwards.

Anyone remember the last two minutes of the Blues game last year? Or why he lost his job at ESPN? The 2002 World Cup! A face for radio. How he sounds like he's trying to hard - "sounds," that's impressive. Most people just tried to hard. He takes it to another level.

I can't wait for him to mouth off to Milbury on the Instigators and catch B-roll tape on You Tube of him getting beaten with his own shoe until his yellow teeth pop out.

I like Brickley hough. He's cool.

haha I personally love Edwards and his homerism. But I can see why people think he's annoying. Actually I hope Jack and Brick stick around for a while.

I swear this topic will become relevant in the first few weeks of the season. Eventually people are going to start missing Dale Arnold.

Dale Arnold doesn't have any personality. Edwards can be annoying, but there are far worse play-by-play guys in the NHL.

Rick Jeanneret - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6FZ8cy9Rug&feature=player_embedded#t=16

Randy Moller - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3b_7S-sGBo&feature=related

Nah, seriously I'm all set with Arnold. I love Jack he cracks me up. Best thing is listening to a game with an opposing fan, you can see their blood boil, which adds to my preference of Jack.

I think Dale is probably on my favorite show on WEEI... and I still don't listen to it except maybe once a month. I think that speaks about Dale drawing power.

I have one word to describe Edwards - smarmy, and I'm not sure what that means but when I've heard it used it seems an appropriate reference. I don't need a therapist or cheerleader doing play by play. Hockey is meant to be edgy. If you're going to be a homer fine, we got it, now back off. I swear there are times when I think I'm listening to Ted Sarandis ("if you not excited about this BC basketball team right now I don't know what you are"). Yeah Jack, the sound on NESN in game doesn't pick up the crowd well. You don't need to defend us. And please, this year work on the names of the opposing players. No joke, last year Brick corrected him at least a handful of times. And if you have to argue for someone by saying that there are worse people out there doing the same job, that's not really an argument, that's just means he's not the worst. I don't know how that is supposed to make me feel better.

Sorry you don't like him, I'm personally glad I'm not seeing him and NESN part ways in the immediate future.

Can we start a thread where JD is happy about something related to the Bruins?

That made me laugh out loud. Seriously.

I think I can rectify this.

I think Jack Edwards does a good job play by play. As for Jack and players’ names- If you saw Dustin Byfuglien on your score sheet how would you come up with Bufflin?
It’s kind of tough to compare JE to the radio guys, Jeanneret & Moller. But I had Center Ice last year and there are a lot (a lot) of PBP announcers worse than JE. And for radio, I’ve got XM so I hear those guys all the time, Dave Gosher rules the radio! Bruins fans are fortunate with their announcers and I’m not just saying that as a homer either… Brick is the best color guy in the business- bar none! Although JD I will agree w/u that JE does have a face for radio!
