I havent tried it yet but I think I know how to get the old chatbox back on. But would you rather keep the one up top or have the old one back?

I think this one works OK but I didn't really use the other one. I'll say no.

I prefer this one to be honest, I like that it's at the top of whatever page you're on, so you can post and still continue a conversation on it at the same time.

I have been pretty vocal about this ever since we updated the site I just hate the chat where it is now its hard to scroll down the page and you open a new page and it looks like you are still on the same page since the only thing you see is the chat.

So you know where my vote is going boys.

The thing I like about the new box is that there is no post limit, and you have to be a site member to use it. Plus it seems like more members are using this one.

I wish you could see older entries though, the one downside

Oh yeah I didnt think of that. The Habs fans cant spam the chat haha. I'm sure they will add improvements to that chat. Since its fairly new.

That's the thing, let's just try it for a while and perhaps there will be updates in time. In the end, the poll is 4-1 in keeping this chatbox.

Keeping it is not an issue for me I just hope they find a way to move it back to the bottom of the page like we had on the old forum and then I will be happy.

Right now it cant be moved. Alot of people requested the option to have it wherever on their forum though. So they might be working on it, the freeforums people.

It's a forum, not an IM Chatroom. The main idea here isn't to have a chatbox, it's just kind've the informal part of the forum just to say hey and chat a little.

On bottom would be preferable, but they're working on it, as is the case with everything today. It's only a matter of time before we get a PHPBB 3.1.1 update.

Yeah thats one of the reasons we didnt want to add a chatbox to start beacuse we felt like it would take away some posts but mostly all the talk in the chatbox is off topic anyways so its not an issue if we wouldnt have it we would have lots of post for nothing.
